How do I get to see homes and condos in the private communities and on over 500 Miles of Shoreline on Lake Murray?
With over 500 miles of shoreline, most people do not have the time to drive all around the Lake. When you do, how do you know the price of any of the homes? View? Square Footage? Is the Owner home? Where are the listings? Who is Selling? At our office in Lexington on Highway 378 beside Home Depot, we have a ten foot wall map, the only one, and 32 inch plasma TV so you can see all the listings before you waste all your valuable time driving around. We are conveniently located near Home Depot and across from Herndon Chevrolet in Lexington.
In some private communities, even to get in, you must have a Realtor accompany you. That is the reason for the security, for privacy. Lake Murray Real Estate Company can take you on your own private tour to see any lots, homes or condos in the Lake Murray area. Waterfront, In Plantation or Outside a Plantation, we can take you. When would you like to go? Would you like to see a home, lot or condo? Rental Property or Primary residence? Would you like to see lots? Water view or golf view? What price range? How many bedrooms? Garage? Pool? Stop by, call or CONTACT US to see your dream home today!! Information is included in your FREE BUYING KIT.
What are normal prices?
This of course, depends mostly on location and property. Lots can sell anywhere from $100,000 to over $1 Million for oceanfront. Waterfront and waterview Condos will start around $150,000 to $350,000. Watefront Homes can start for $250,000 to over $1 Million. Estate Homes are available on Lake Murray. You can still buy quality homes for around $300-800,000. The closer you are to the Dam and Columbia, the higher the price. View, Size, Age, Water frontage, and location will determine the value of the property. Many homes are where you can remodel and upgrade the property and create equity in your property.
What are normal closing costs when I buy?
Some mortgage companies will charge points or origination fees. They can range from zero to two points. You will also have to pay for attorneys fees, appraisals, home inspections and A/C inspections. I normally expect a buyer may have up to 2% in closing costs, depending on the property. Again, if you are buying an empty lot, you do not have all the inspection costs.
